Recipe: Country BLT

Swap out the fluffy toast for some REAL bread, add BLT, and you got yourself a real treat.


  • BreadVillage German Country Bread (5g protein and 4g fiber per slice)
  • Bacon, thick slices, pan fried
  • Olive oil or butter
  • Mustard
  • Tomato, 1/4-inch slices
  • Grated cheese
  • Leafy greens


  1. Pan fry bacon, set aside
  2. Apply butter or olive oil to the outside layers of the sandwich for grilling. Spread mustard on the inside.
  3. Layer on cheese, bacon, tomato slices, and leafy greens
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium low. Pan fry sandwich on each side, until the bread is golden and the cheese melted, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. You can also heat up the sandwich in panini press or in an oven (approx. 10 min @ 350F)
