Swap out the fluffy toast for some REAL bread, add BLT, and you got yourself a real treat.
Ingredients:
- BreadVillage German Country Bread (5g protein and 4g fiber per slice)
- Bacon, thick slices, pan fried
- Olive oil or butter
- Mustard
- Tomato, 1/4-inch slices
- Grated cheese
- Leafy greens
Directions:
- Pan fry bacon, set aside
- Apply butter or olive oil to the outside layers of the sandwich for grilling. Spread mustard on the inside.
- Layer on cheese, bacon, tomato slices, and leafy greens
- Heat a large skillet over medium low. Pan fry sandwich on each side, until the bread is golden and the cheese melted, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. You can also heat up the sandwich in panini press or in an oven (approx. 10 min @ 350F)
