I like the Bauernbrot just fine and will enjoy eating it, but it is not quite German. It has a nice medium rye flavor, which is as it should be, and it slices easily. But it was a bit too dense and the crumb wasn't quite right - hard to describe what's different from the real thing in Germany.

Wonder if recipes have changed?
The farmers bread seems the same, but
the multi seed bread has different consistency. It was more chewy before,
and therefore we liked it better.
But still great bread
